Who We Are
FlowStateADHD ("we", "us", "our") is a free FlowRead tool built for people with ADHD and reading difficulties. This website is operated at flowstateadhd.com.

The Short Version
Your reading text never leaves your browser. We don't store it, we don't see it, we don't send it anywhere. The FlowRead conversion happens entirely client-side in JavaScript on your device.
The only personal data we collect is what you voluntarily provide via the feedback form.
What Data We Collect
1. Feedback Form Data
When you submit the feedback form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- How you found us (selected from a dropdown)
- Your feedback message
This data is used solely to respond to your feedback and improve the product. We do not use it for marketing, we do not share it with third parties, and we do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
2. Newsletter Sign-Up
If you subscribe to our newsletter via the sign-up form, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email. We will never share your email with third parties.
3. Analytics (Optional)
We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site: which pages are visited, how long people stay, and where they come from. This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not use it to identify individuals.
If you decline cookies via our cookie banner, analytics tracking will not be activated.
4. Local Storage
We use your browser's localStorage to save your cookie consent preference. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
What We Do NOT Collect
- Any text you paste or upload into the reading tool
- The contents of any files you upload
- Any payment information (the service is free)
- Any account credentials (no account is required)
- Any sensitive personal data
Cookies
We use minimal cookies:
- Preference cookie: Stores your cookie consent choice in localStorage. Not a tracking cookie.
- Analytics cookies (only if accepted): Google Analytics places cookies to measure site usage. These are only activated if you accept cookies via the banner.
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage or cookies.
Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are based in the UK or European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold about you:
- Right of access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete your personal data.
- Right to restrict processing: You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Right to data portability: You can request your data in a portable format.

Data Retention
Feedback form submissions are retained for up to 12 months for the purpose of product improvement, then deleted. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.
Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

- Google Fonts: Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may log font requests. Google Fonts privacy FAQ
- Form processing service: If you submit the feedback form, the data may be processed by a third-party form service (e.g. Formspree). Their privacy policy applies to that data.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via the website.
